You have a Ph.D. degree related to Business Administration, Information Systems, or Business Informatics. You have a strong potential and ambition for teaching and research in distribution and service logistics. You have a background in business administration, economics, industrial engineering, logistics, operations management or operations research. You have research experience in distribution logistics, preferably with a focus on service industries, witnessed by international scientific publications.

For a position of associate professor we expect a strong  publication  record; an ability to initiate and build up a line of  research, as shown  for instance by a track record in PhD supervision  and acquisition of  external funding; and experience in teaching and  curriculum management.
The assistant professor position is a tenure track position with an   initial appointment for 2+4 years and the possibility of tenure. At  the  end of the second year a performance evaluation will take place  deciding  on the extension of the appointment for another 4 years. In  the fifth  year of the appointment the tenure decision will be taken.  The associate  professor position is initially for a period of two years  and the  possibility for an indefinite employment. For both assistant  professor  and associate professor we prefer a full time employee (1.0  fte) but we  are prepared to discuss 0.8 fte.
The salary will be in accordance with university regulations for   academic personnel, and depending on experience, in the range of €   3.19,-5 up to € 4.970,- gross per month (salary scales 11 and 12 for   Assistant Professor ) and in the range of € 4.428,- up to € 5.920,-    (salary scales 13 and 14 for Associate Professor) gross per month,   based on a fulltime employment. The Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (FEWEB) seeks  to  combine high quality education with excellent research. The Faculty   offers three Dutch taught Bachelor’s programmes (Economics and Business   Economics, Econometrics and Operations Research and Business   Administration), one English taught Bachelor’s programme (International   Business Administration), eight English taught Master’s programmes and   thirteen postgraduate programmes. The faculty has several research   groups with an outstanding international reputation. FEWEB accommodates   approximately 5000 students and 1500 postgraduate students. Over 500   staff members are employed at the Faculty.
The Bachelor- and Master studies in Business Administration are  focused  on the Service Industry. One of the seven specialisations is  Transport  & Supply Chain Management (TSCM). In the Bachelor we  concentrate on  logistics problems of individual companies like  manufacturers, retailers  or logistics service providers. In the master  the cooperation between  those partners in the context of Demand driven  Supply Chain Management  is the dominant paradigm in education and  research.
